Here. Pregnant. Living Lent.

Freshly harvested heirloom chicory leaves from my garden!

I feel like that title catches all.
Do you?

We are doing very well.

I'm (apparently) quite pregnant.
Or to quote an observer: Well! Don't you look like you swallowed a watermelon!

Lent is in full swing. I just feel like it is so real this year. Had a preterm labor scare - come to find out our eggs were bad (bought at a national chain store, national brand - better believe I was at market bright and early Saturday for local eggs)!!! Just a good ole' case of food poisoning last week. That scare has totally shifted my outlook on my last two 41-week long pregnancies. Thank God for healthy, full-term babies. After last week I will be so grateful for when I hit 37 weeks!

Hoping your Lent is full of depth, learning, reflection and grace.

Please join me in praying for all the men that will be ordained priests this year. Come Lord Jesus, fill their hearts and light their souls on fire for you!

Because...Well, Just Because!

So Happy Sunday! I'm going to join-in on the crazy Conversion Diary 7 days of blogging because...? I have no other reason than because I feel like trying! Maybe it will forceforceforce me to keep our routine instead of throwing myself into stupid situations of - hey kids we have 30 minutes to eat breakfast, get dressed, clean up and leave the house because momma has decided that 30 minutes from now is a GREAT time to accomplish xyz. Negatory. Gotta stop the nonsense.

Bambino at 32.5 weeks, oooo but who's counting?

I was chatting with a momma of five earthly souls (a few in Heaven too) and she said the major difference from two to three kids is that I have to have a plan before doing something.

Leaving the house?
Who gets buckled in first?
Second?
Third?

My sense of humor precisely.

Sorry little guy in my belly...I think you will be third. Every time. Well as far as buckling seat belts  go, (but I'm sure a year or so from now that will change)! Because spontaneous opinionated toddlers roaming the front yard which is that-close to the street...well, ain't nobody got time fo' dat.

Swimsuits for my boys this summer! We are just so blessed!
So anyway.

Cheers to meal planning. Blog planning. And a broken printer (just remembered!) so I'll be handwriting ye ole menu.

A friend sent this to me this past week - hello! I LOVE seeing what I do accounted for. Brilliant.
On a more serious and meaningful note, husband's great-grandmother passed away. Please pray for the repose of her soul - although we are both confident that if anyone has earned a rank in Heaven it is this woman! Prayers appreciated! :)

Andddd you can check back every day this week - I'll be going through and deciding to submit or delete posts that have been biding their time in the drafts folder.

See you later, alligator!

{phfr} I'm backkkk!!!!

Happy Thursday!
Linking-up with LMLD!

{pretty}
My sweet girl.  She painted a pretty pumpkin for us, but oh her sweet face! When I look at her I wonder how anyone can doubt God's presence - such sweetness and innocence.  And I marvel at my own insecurities that surface at various times, mostly in the self confidence department - Lord, please help me to be confident in myself, but more especially in you, so that my children can know how to have confidence in themselves and in You.  Amen.
{happy}
Our baby is a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Little baby, I was so certain you were a girl.  Certain certain, and so it was a delightful surprise to find out that you are a little boy.  Both me and your dada felt a wave of relief (why?!) at knowing you are a boy. We so look forward to holding you, loving you, caring for you and introducing you to your precious siblings who so excitedly await your arrival. Muah! xoxox Momma

Baby: 15 weeks

This. Dog.

{real}
Props to my kids for being awesomely awesome while we went into the gas station, got money out of the atm, got change, and filled this tire, canceled our park playdate, and had an impromptu lunch at the restaurant next to the tire repair center.  Kids - y'all rocked.
And praise the Lord for the money to keep our vehicles on the move.
And bless the kind man who flagged me down to tell me I was about to be stranded on the road.

People, your prayers are AWESOME. Morning sickness has flown the coop and I am cooking again!!!!!! I know, like, was the house disgusting and were all of us gaining weight because that happens when you eat DiGiorno pizza three times a week for more than seven weeks straight? Yes, pizza = tight clothes.
Anyway! SO SOSOSOSOSSOSOSOSOSOOOOOOO GRATEFUL for your prayers.  While I'm cooking I'm trying to freeze a lunch here and a supper there for the holiday season/late pregnancy that will be here before we know it.
